Psychotherapy
"In the depth of winter,
I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible
summer."
- Albert Camus
Entering into a therapeutic
process reflects the courage and hope to shape a more
satisfying life—in one’s relationships, work, play, and
spirituality. I believe in the power to change and to heal.
A warm relationship in a safe place with no rigid agenda
provides the setting and the possibility for discovery,
change, and growth. We work together to help you gain deeper
self awareness and acceptance, and to be more fully alive
and in the present.
The therapeutic process in
my practice combines cognitive behavioral work with insight
development and analysis of childhood experiences and
origins. I employ an interactive style to work through
issues from your past and present. We move creatively, and
with attention to what’s happening both in the room and in
your life, using whatever modes of therapy are appropriate,
to integrate feelings and experiences, and to move towards
peace and balance.
I work with individuals
struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship
issues, as well as any other challenges one might bring in.
I also work with adolescents and families, and welcome
clients from diverse backgrounds and sexual orientations.
